与 MS office 相比，Google Docs 的一个缺点是需要太多步骤来创建新文档，虽然这对普通用户不算什么，却足以让 Geek 们抓狂。 Geek 们终于不甘寂寞的找出在 Windows 下利用桌面快捷方式或者热键快速创建新文档的方法。接下来，我们以 Google Docs 为例手把手教大家如何进行设置。

创建桌面快捷方式

右击桌面，选择 New -- Shortcut。 出现以下对话框：

在对话框中添入创建新文档的URL ： http://docs.google.com/?action=newdoc

其他对应的URL为

Spreadsheet：http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?new

Presentation:  http://docs.google.com/?action=new_presentation

Drawing:  https://docs.google.com/drawings/create?hl=en

如果你是 Google Apps 的用户则需要加入你的域名，比如 https://docs.google.com/a/YOURDOMAIN.com/?action=newdoc

然后输入桌面快捷方式的名称，这里我们用：New Google Documents

设置图标与热键

现在的图标只是一个丑丑的小圆球，想让它变成漂亮的图标，你可以下载这个图标合集。

右击图标，选择 Properties，进入以上选项卡，选择 Change Icon，再将之前下载的图标添加，便可大功告成。

从今天起，用户又多了一个使用 Google Docs 这个云 Office 的理由——保存在 Google Docs 里面的 MS Office 等格式的老文件可以随时方便的转换成 Google Docs 格式的文档，在此前你只有在上传文件时才有一次机会转换。更棒的是，现有的图片和 PDF 文档可以直接通过 Google Docs 的 OCR 功能直接识别为可编辑文档。具体支持的文档格式如下：

  • 电子表格：.xls, .xlsx, .ods, .csv, .tsv, .txt, .tsb
  • 文档： .doc, .docx, .html, plain text (.txt), .rtf
  • 演示文档: .ppt, .pps
  • OCR 光学文字识别: .jpg, .gif, .png, .pdf

具体操作方法非常简单，在文档列表界面右键单击文档，选择 Make a Google Docs copy 即可。

大家都知道，在Google Docs里编辑表格的时候，如果同时有另外一个人也在编辑同一个表格，那么你直接可以在页面里实时看到他做的所有编辑和修改。现在Google Docs的演示文稿也支持这个功能了，当你和你的同事为了一场演示会在赶制ppt文件的时候，在Google Docs里就可以完成协同合作，且互相可以直接看到正在做的编辑动作，包括对文字、图形、图片、视频等等操作。

根据用户在Google Docs汇问里的建议，Google Docs团队今天更新了文档（documents） 、表格（spreadsheets）和演示文稿（presentation）的菜单（如上图），链接、标题趋于、工具栏按钮、菜单、菜单文字都趋于统一。

Google Apps里的Google Docs也一起调整了。

  • ALT+拖拽 = 关闭网格对齐，使你可以自由定位（苹果系统是Option+拖拽）
  • Shift+拖拽 = 横向或纵向对齐
  • Shift+上下左右键 = 以1像素细调
  • 重设大小时按住Shift = 保持长宽比例不变
  • Ctrl+移动原始素材 = 在新位置复制出一份新的素材

Google Docs的演示文档一直无法创建表格，用户在论坛里哀声一片，Google员工看在心里，急在心上，于是今天他们将表格带到演示文档里了。

你只需要选择插入表格，然后拖拽出区域即可选择合适的行数和列数，你可以设置每个格的背景颜色，表格线条粗细，而且行宽会自动根据你在表格内打字时做伸缩。现在你可以直接导入Office PowerPoint里那些带表格的演示文档到Google Docs里来了，所有表格都会被正确识别。
